We wanted to touch base and let you know that John had a fabulous time at his second horseback riding lesson on Thursday! Thank you for your interest and prayers.
He knew what to expect this time, and I did too! Also, Daddy was able to come which was a true treat! John likes to show off for his Daddy. :) We are so grateful for John's instructor Pam, all the devoted volunteers, and of course for Pinkie the pony!
Isn't this precious? He was reaching up (much higher than he typically does)
to grab one of the volunteer's glasses! Being on a horse is a great "place" to practice his skills! |
Here John is reaching for the colorful rings while on his back. He enjoys riding like this too!

Thank you for continuing to pray for John's full healing. We would also like to ask for the following specifics:
-an aid for John in Atlanta to help us with his home therapy program
-God's timing in restarting John's therapy program
-army crawling!
-Medicaid and health insurance
Other recent highlights include:
1) Having great-grandfather "Granddaddy" over for lunch (my father's father).
2) Having great-grandfather "Daddy John" over for lunch (my mother's father).
We feel so blessed to have two amazing great-grandfathers in our boys' lives!
3) Easter: We praise the Lord that He is Risen; Risen Indeed! Hallelujah! Because of his life, death, and resurrection, we can trust His promise to make all things new. As the saying goes, "It may feel like Friday, but Sunday's coming!"
Believe it or not, this may be the best picture of this bunch!
But I had to share John and Daniel with three of their third cousins! |
Meade helped John hunt for a few eggs at my parent's house. He was doing such a great job grabbing an egg from Meade's hands and holding onto it tightly! We have seen great progress with his hand use recently! Praise God!

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive...
“Death is swallowed up in victory. “O Death, where is your victory? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?”
--1 Corinthians 15: 20-22, 54-55--
